Polynucleotides skin rejuvenation in Leeds

The treatment

What are polynucleotides?

Polynucleotides are purified DNA fragments, naturally derived and biocompatible, that work with your skin’s own repair processes. They stimulate fibroblast activity, supporting collagen and elastin production and helping the skin regenerate at a cellular level.

The treatment is non-invasive and well tolerated, which makes it a popular choice for skin that feels tired, thin, scarred or sensitive. It doesn’t add volume. It improves the quality of the skin itself.

Questions

Polynucleotide FAQs

Most skin types and ages. It’s gentle enough for sensitive skin, including skin prone to rosacea, and it’s often used for texture, scarring and loss of hydration. We’ll talk through your skin and any medical history at your free consultation first.

Allow around an hour. Sometimes it’s a little longer, as we leave time for the numbing to take effect. There’s very little downtime. Some people notice small bumps or redness for a short while afterwards, and bruising can sometimes happen. It’s not a sign that anything has gone wrong, and it doesn’t affect how well the treatment works.

For your first treatment, a course of 3 sessions, 3 to 4 weeks apart, gives the best results. I’ll talk you through the plan at your free consultation.
